Seligman, Arizona
(pronounced suh-lig-mun)

The retail shops in this small town offer a cornucopia of Route 66 memorabilia – reproduction signage, clothing, and many household items such as memo pads, post cards, refrigerator magnets, pot holders, towels and salt shakers; all are adorned with Route 66 logos. This is indeed a treasure trove of Route 66 souvenirs, but provides for much humor and nostalgia. Seligman is adjacent to Interstate 40 and offers a historic comparison between modern high-speed freeway travel and the older, more relaxing, slower, and interesting Route 66 passageway. |
