Pacific Grove, California
|
|
Pacific Grove is the westernmost point on the Monterey Peninsula. Given its great oceanfront location, it is no wonder that this small town is such a desirable (and expensive) place to live. The Monarch Grove Sanctuary located in Pacific Grove assists these beautiful creatures along their annual migration path. The oldest continually operated lighthouse on the west coast, Point Pinos Lighthouse, is in Pacific Grove. The town claims to have more Victorian houses per capita than any place in America. Notable residents include famous author John Steinbeck. |
