St. Helena, California

St. Helena is on our recommended list, but frankly, it has a lot of competition from so many other nice small towns in Napa Valley.  While it is an attractive, high-quality town, its main detriment is the extremely busy and noisy road that cuts through the main downtown section. Amenities in St. Helena include a tour of olive oil production in fabulous hillside properties and the Napa Valley Wine Train.
