(pronounced beaut, rhymes with brute)

Even if you're not a ski bum, any dumb-dumb is smart enough to understand the attractiveness of this small town. The natural beauty surrounding this town is enhanced by an abundance of Victorian storefronts in its downtown historic district. For the pleasure of visitors, many of the Crested Butte shops and restaurants are located in the historic district. Although the town has many modern buildings, they were architected to match the old style. Unlike some Colorado ski towns, we witnessed no pretense or snobbery here. Forget the snow pack – pack your camera and unpack your stress in this relaxed small town with panoramic views. The Colorado State legislature has designated Crested Butte as the wildflower capital of Colorado. This small town is located on Route 135, 75 miles south of Interstate 70 in southwest Colorado. |
