Estes Park, Colorado

Estes Park is a community where thoughtful planning has successfully achieved a town that focuses on tourism, shopping and pedestrians. Lovely walking paths along the scenic Fall River and Big Thompson River provide access to each section of downtown. These paths accommodate walkers, runners, bikers and skateboarders. Wherever possible, the walkways avoid traffic by traversing underneath roadways. This design enhances the experience because the sound of the rushing water blocks out most street noise. Visitors to Estes Park will also enjoy numerous small parks, statues and ample restrooms. Family-oriented entertainment includes horseback riding, water slides, rock climbing, and an aerial tramway to the top of nearby Prospect Point for spectacular views of surrounding Estes Park Village, Longs Peak, the ranges of the Continental Divide and Rocky Mountain National Park. This playground-type town is overrun with tourists in the summer months. |
