Telluride, Colorado

America's Shangri La: The Town Above The Clouds.  Where else can you find a town with only one road in, and the same road out.  And for good reason - this town rests inside a U-shaped valley boxed in by 14,000 feet high sheer mountain cliffs.  Experience fine shops and sumptuous restaurants housed in all-stone buildings in this old western mining town.  Since the early 1970's, the town has hosted the Telluride Film Festival and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. The Telluride Historic District, which includes a significant portion of the town, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is also one of Colorado's 20 National Historic Landmarks.
