A once-prosperous and vibrant gold-mining town, Victor is today a skeleton of its former self. The town suffers from the classic 'D's' – decline, disrepair, dilapidation and decay. Thankfully, due to its cold and dry climate, many damaged historic structures have not yet degraded to a terminal condition. Maybe one day this former gem can be resuscitated.
