This small town is titled after its Cuba namesake, because of the cigar industry that once flourished here. Several decades ago, the industry moved to Central America. Havana's retail establishments have since filled the void. Despite the unappealing appearance of the buildings along Havana's main thoroughfare (Route 27), this small town has several antique stores and artists' studios just west of Rt. 27. I recommend it for a day trip visit from Tallahassee, or if you are traveling along I-10 in the Florida Panhandle. Havana is 16 miles northwest of Tallahassee and just 10 miles north of Interstate 10.
