photographs for town maps for town small town summary

The appeal of this town is its scenic location, on the banks of Lake Coeur d’ Alene, ringed with small mountains. We have visited many towns with beautiful surroundings and Coeur d' Alene is one of them. The downtown area is on the northern edge of 30-mile-long Lake Coeur d' Alene and on the western side of the Coeur d' Alene National Forest. Coeur d’ Alene is the home of North Idaho College and branches of the University of Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College. The town is also located near two major ski resorts - Silver Mountain Resort to the east in Kellogg and Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort to the north in Sandpoint. The 24-mile-long asphalt North Idaho Centennial Trail originates on the northeast side of Lake Coeur d’ Alene. EARNS OUR HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
