Greenville has been described as “a Norman Rockwell Small Town” and is the home of Greenville College, a Christian liberal arts school. The college has an enrollment of 1,100 and is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church. This small town offers a nice variety of antique and specialty shops, restaurants and 4 museums. The Greenville Public Library was established as a Carnegie library and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Greenville is the site of the annual Agape Music Festival, a Christian music festival. It also plays host to the World Powered Parachute Championships as "Chute-Out on the Prairie." |
