Corydon is the Second Territorial Capital of Indiana and the county seat of Harrison County. The downtown area of this small town consists of a commons that contains the Old Capital Building and is ringed with a split-rail fence. This commons is bordered by the town square that contains retail stores, including several antique shops. Corydon was the site of the only Civil War battle fought in Indiana. U.S. President William Henry Harrison lived in Corydon for a short time. The main attractions in this small town are its cute downtown setting and its significance in Indiana’s history. Corydon is just south of Interstate 64, 20 miles west of Louisville, Kentucky.
