This small town is easily accessible from I-75, just north of Lexington. It is the home of Georgetown College, an institution of Baptist influence. There are many antique stores and fine architecture in this small town. When you think of Kentucky, thoroughbred horses come to mind. Georgetown is no exception. Its Kentucky Horse Park was host to the World Equestrian Games in 2010. This small town is the county seat of Scott County. Since 1980, it has hosted the Festival of the Horse each autumn. |
