La Grange, Kentucky

The distinctive feature of this small town is the active railroad line running down the middle of its main thoroughfare. On both sides can be found attractive commercial buildings, with the courthouse plaza at the end of this shopping district. La Grange is easy to access, on the north side of Interstate 71, just 25 miles north of downtown Louisville. Because of its geographic position as a 'bedroom community' for employment in nearby Louisville, Oldham County boasts that it enjoys the lowest unemployment rate and the highest per capita income in the state. This small town is the county seat of Oldham County.
