Berlin, Maryland
(pronounced burr-lynn)

Being inland, this quaint small town avoids the crowds experienced by other small towns in Maryland’s eastern peninsula. But it makes up for this with an ocean of antiques displayed in very attractive downtown shops. Although the town is landlocked, it is less than 10 miles from Ocean City and Assateague Island National Seashore. Berlin has also been designated as a Main Street Community by the State of Maryland in recognition of its revitalization progress. It is also the home of the Worcester County Arts Council, which maintains an open-to-the-public, full-time gallery displaying the works of local artists. |
