Bigfork, Montana
|
![]() |
The center of this small town is perched above a small bay on the eastern side of beautiful Flathead Lake in Northwest Montana. Bigfork is a fairly new town, but the construction of the village commercial buildings is first-rate. The Swan River flows through the town. Flathead Lake, with more than 180 miles of shoreline, is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. The topography around Bigfork is quite scenic - Flathead Lake rests in a valley between the Cabinet Mountain Range to the west and the Rocky Mountains to the east. Glacier National Park is 35 miles northwest of town. Wayfarers State Park lies just south of the community. |
