The name of this place is no exaggeration; Angelica is a charming cherub of a small town.  It is situated in the hills of Allegany County, part of the Appalachian Mountain foothills.  The town is the oldest in the county, and is just 2 miles north of Interstate 86, in western New York.  As you enter town, you will encounter a large-diameter traffic roundabout.  This thoroughfare encloses pastoral Park Circle and is bordered on the outside by historic buildings.  The village contains over a dozen antique stores, coffee houses and sweet shops and is also the site for the Allegany County Fair. The summer brings Music in the Park most Wednesday evenings at 7pm and a great Farmer's Market every Saturday from 10am to 2pm. You won’t be hampered by large crowds in this lovely small town. The name Angelica is from Angelica Schuyler Church, Alexander Hamilton's sister-in-law and wife of John Barker Church.
