Davidson, North Carolina

Directly across the street from the commercial district of this small town is the campus of Davidson College. Lying along the eastern shore of Lake Norman, the town is centered around the college from which it takes its name. Lake Norman is 520 miles of beautiful shoreline that extends across four counties. The town was founded in 1837 with the establishment of the Presbyterian Davidson College, named for Brigadier Genera William Lee Davidson, a local Revolutionary War hero in Mecklenburg County.
Concerts on the Green is a free, annual concert series that takes place on the Davidson Village Green at the corner of Main Street and Concord Road.
