There is nothing artificial or inauthentic about this historic town that is known for its antique shopping. This small town claims 14 antique and craft shops. It is positioned among an Old Order Amish farming community. Mt. Victory’s Antique & Craft Harvest Fest is held each October. In 1849 Ezra Dille had the village surveyed and later purchased it. Resident Thomas McCall was elated that Dille had purchased the property and exclaimed “Victory, Victory–We shall name the town MOUNT VICTORY!” Thomas McCall was ‘Uncle Tommy’ to those who knew him and he is credited with naming the Village of Mt. Victory.
