Waynesville, Ohio

Antiques, antiques, antiques - shop till U drop. One half mile east of Waynesville is the town of Corwin, a whistle stop on the 78-mile-long (and still growing) scenic Little Miami River bikeway. You can ride all the way to Cincinnati. This small town is best known locally for its annual Sauerkraut Festival. Doesn’t sauerkraut ice cream sound scrumptious? (Unfortunately, I’m not kidding). Caesar Creek State Park is located five miles east of the village. This park was created in the 1970s by damming Caesars Creek and creating a 2,830 acre lake. Also east of Waynesville is the August-thru-October Ohio Renaissance Festival held in nearby Harveysburg. This small town is named for General "Mad" Anthony Wayne. |
