Lewisburg is the home of Bucknell University. Bucknell is ranked one of the top 20 U.S. liberal arts colleges based on the number of graduates who advance to earn doctorates. In this small town, it is difficult to determine what is more attractive - the residential area or the commercial district. The 19th century downtown has received the distinction of being listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The quaint Hufnagle Park on Market Street compliments the many downtown historic buildings, including an original Art Deco movie theatre.
