In the early 1900's, Middleburg began welcoming visitors who descended on the town for foxhunting and steeplechasing. The village soon earned a reputation as the Nation's Horse and Hunt Capital, attracting visitors from across the United States. Middleburg is home to the 15,000 square-foot National Sporting Library research center for horse and field sports. Annual local events include the Middleburg Spring Races, Virginia Fall Races, Delaplane Strawberry Festival, Hunt Country Stable Tour and the Virginia Steeplechase Circuit. Middleburg lies on Route 50, 8 miles north of  I-66 and 35 miles west of Washington, D.C. EARNS OUR HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
