Because of the vintage streetscape of the town center, downtown Columbus has been used in several film productions, including a bank robbery for theĀ Johnny Depp movie Public Enemies. The downtown was made to look like the 1930s for the film. The historic Poser House was used as a brothel for the movie. With over 200 century-old commercial and residential buildings, Columbus presents a realistic portrait of the late 19th century. The Farmers & Merchants Union Bank was designed by famous Chicago architect Louis Sullivan. With over 82,000 square feet of displayed antiques, the Columbus Antique Mall claims to be the largest in Wisconsin.
