I had recently moved from out of state to a small town in the central Texas hill country. In an effort to educate myself about Texas geography, I asked native Texans where they were from. One fella said he was from Abilene in the Texas panhandle. This area is known for its windswept, hot and dusty summers. I asked him "Is there anything that you miss about Abilene?". His friend couldn't contain himself and jumped into the conversation "If he yearns for Abilene, all he has to do is turn on a fan and throw dirt into it."
