Poem submitted by viewer concerning traveling along back roads and through small towns finding antiques and wondering about the background of old-fashioned items.

My husband and I own a 1929 Model A Tudor Sedan.  Model A’s were produced from 1928 to 1931.  I like to visit small town antique stores, which permit me to ‘go back in time’. I shop for 1930’s period clothing and accessories that I can wear when we tour in the Model A. Despite the Great Depression, I feel the 1930’s was a very elegant fashion time because social norms for women dictated mid-calf, zipper-less dresses, cloche hats and three-seamed gloves.  JM
